Comme des Garçons

Japanese designer Rei Kawakubo founded her legendary label Comme des Garçons in 1969. Since then, she radically reinvented the definition of beauty, becoming one of the most influential and grounbreaking character in the fashion history. A true free-spirit, she makes “clothes for a woman who is not swayed by what her husband thinks”. In 2017 the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institut celebrated her career with the New York exhibition “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons. Art of the In-Between”.
