Vivienne Westwood started creating clothes for the British punk movement in the 1970s, with the help of her partner and Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren. “My clothes have a story. They have an identity. They have a character and a purpose. That’s why they become classics. Because they keep on telling a story. The are still telling it”. Dramatic, provocative and free, Westwood is famous for her curve-enhancing dresses and draped tailoring. In 2006 she was made Dame of the British Empire.
