John Galliano

One of the most talented yet controversial designers of his generation, British creative John Galliano found success early, with his sensational graduation show staged in 1984 at Central Saint Martin College and inspired by the French Revolution. Soon after he founded his own fashion house, becoming famous for his crazy, spectacular collections as well as for the theatrical costumes he wore on the catwalk at the end of his shows. Named three times British Designer of the Year, he was also appointed as creative director of Givenchy and Dior. After a forced retreat in 2011 due to a public scandal, in 2014 he came back as creative director of Maison Margiela.
